 Thanks everyone !

Man what a trip!!!! All I can say is count me in for now on!!!

Jody, Monte & the entire Buena vista sportfishing crew are 1st class. This set up is an absolute oasis with every single need met. It was the single best vacation I have ever taken.

Thanks to all the gang, you guys were great & I look forward to getting together this season out of OI.

As for all the talk of me chasing Bills for now on, Yeah I'll admit that switching those pointy nosed trashbags off the teaser to a circle dink & fireing it down their throat is pretty addicting. This circle hook rig is without a doubt the way to go!! The hook up ration if done properly is amazing & we never had even 1 fish that came to leader that was not hooked right in the corner of the jaw for a perfect release. But that being said, even amongst a crew guys pumped on the sails, you should of seen the excitment every time a big Mahi came to gaff. I say it's all good as long is your with friends.

YES I will have my dink rods ready this year, just got to sneek them on the boat or we might have mutiny going on down below.

Big thanks to Conner for hooking us up with Jody & Monte.

Bill, sounds like the last day you & Lee had a blast & I wish I could of been there also but man I'll never forget that last bottom of the 9th hookup @ lines out with the monster of the trip. What a pretty fish. Sure wish you had been there with your Nikon for that. I'm still hoping Conner has something on his crappy disposable.

February brings cold, windy weather here in Delaware and Maryland. There is no better way to lose the winter blues than to go sailfishing in Guatemala. Buena Vista Sport Fishing offers the experience of a lifetime (www.BuenaVistaSportfishing.com). We traveled with a group of six fisherman. Capt. Charlie, Capt. Leann, and Capt. Mark of Tranquila Sport Fishing in Lewes, Delaware (www.TranquilaSportFishing.com) along with a professional bass circuit fisherman Jim Short, Capt. Kayvan of Reel Desire in Ocean City MD and a friend of his Capt. Skip. We fished 2 boats with 3 people on each boat for 3 days. Over the 3 day period, we raised about 120 sailfish around 100 lbs. each. We released about 60 fish! We even got to swim with the sailfish as they were being released. (Check out the photo of Jim in the water with the sailfish!)

The resort owner, Jody, and his staff catered to our every need. Staying at the lodge was a relaxing, enjoyable time. If you check out Buena Vista's Sportfishing's website, you will see the lodge is wonderful and complete with a private swimming pool for your group, tiki bar, full staff there to serve you and overlooks the canal. The price is cheap considering it is all inclusive. And, airfare is affordable to Guatemala City. If you are interested in a warm weather fishing trip....Buena Vista Sportfishing in Iztapa, Guatemala is the place!!!
