Monte Elswick
CEO
As a founder and owner of the lodge Monte uses his past experience in  industry to help and over see  the operation. A native of the US he has grown to appreciate the beauty and potential of Guatemala. He has studied and is a fan of Mayan history making him a great source of Mayan  lore. Monte looks forward to hosting you as a guest at the lodge.
 
Jody Elswick
President
Having grown up in Virginia Beach, Jody has surfed and fished his whole life. As a founder of Greentree and Buenavistasportfishing his goal is to provide you with a one of kind fishing experience. Jody and his Wife suzy are both bilingual and combine to treat you to a cultural experience of Guatemalan hopitality. Jody just lives to fish and Suzy has a blackbelt in shopping. This means the wives have a shopping guide and the lodge always has the frehest fruits , vegetables and meats. 

 
Susy Elswick
General Manager
A native of the highlands of Guatemala, Suzy is the perfect example of the warmth of true Guatemalan hospitality. Married to Jody she oversees the day to day comforts of the lodge operation. Her English is excellent and she is very tolerant of the fishing fever which fills the lodge. Actually she is as good an angler as she is a host.  Her goal is to make sure you’re never hungry and all of your needs are addressed during your stay at the lodge. You may be surprised if you get a chance to fish with her as she is quick to the rod and thrills in the bite.
 
Sergio Mendez
Concierge
Sergio Mendez is the lodge concierge . A native of San Jose, Escuintla , Guatemala he has excelled in his grasp of the English language. Before joining us he worked at Villas del Pacifico as an interpreter. From having you picked up at the airport, arranging local tours and making sure you’re accommodations are the best they can be, you’ll find his friendliness and hospitality will make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Sergio will do his best to help make you’re stay a pleasant one. Sergio will help you find any thing you may have forgotten. 
 
Hector Ortiz
Security and Operations Manager
Born in Zacapa, Guatemala Hector served his country for four years. Hector oversees the security at our lodge and is responsible for our transportation and fleet maintenance.  While his English is improving he will not let that interfere with his ability to communicate.  Whether he meets you at the airport or takes you on a local tour you will feel comfortable knowing he’s able to fulfill most any request you may have.
 
Isabel de Ortiz
Housekeeping Manager
Isabel, who goes by “Chave”, oversees the actual cooking and general housekeeping at the lodge. From Gualan Zacapa Guatemala she is a master at preparing meals with a local flair. Jody has made it a point to also show her how to prepare a few Americanized dishes as well. As the wife of Hector and mother of three children she is accustomed to handling large groups. Chave and her staff will also fulfill specific food requests and handle all aspects of housekeeping including your laundry.
